If you have already been vaccinated, please send a copy of your vaccination record to our office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you have not acquired the vaccine, the federal and state mandate is to have the first dose by September 1, 2021.
As of August 18, 2021, the State of New Jersey and the Federal Government is mandating that all hospital and nursing home workers acquire the COVID-19 vaccine.
We have also received notice from many of our client facilities that they will soon be implementing policies that require the same. As a vendor for these facilities and a healthcare provider, we encourage each employee to acquire the vaccination. Additionally, the CDC has authorized a vaccine booster that has demonstrated an increase in virus protection. If you have acquired the vaccination, we implore you to acquire the vaccine booster when it becomes available in late September.
Currently, 40% of nursing home workers have not acquired the vaccination.
This vulnerable population suffered the most from the initial outbreak and accounted for nearly 1/3 of all the COVID deaths in the U.S. Since the implementation of the vaccine, the numbers of COVID outbreaks in nursing homes have significantly decreased.
No vaccine is 100% effective, but the COVID-19 vaccine has shown positive results. The CDC has stated that the vaccine has shown to be effective against the new Delta variant that is currently creating an increase in hospitalizations and overall infection rates. Approximately 166 million U.S. citizens are vaccinated. Out of this number 8000 people have been hospitalized. This low number demonstrates the effectiveness of the vaccine.
